On August 24, the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Forum and Exhibition of Successful Cooperative Programs was held in Guiyang. The China-Thailand Joint Training Program of Construction Machinery jointly carried out by LVTC, Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "LiuGong") and Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM) was successfully included in the fifth batch of China-ASEAN Successful TVET Cooperative Programs released during the exhibition.

This is another highlight of LVTC after winning the championship in the Virtual Reality (VR) Design and Production Competition during the first World Vocational College Skills Competition.

On the same day, LVTC participated in the forum and exhibition as a co-organizer. Gan Jinming, President of LVTC, accepted the award of the fifth batch of China-ASEAN Successful TVET Cooperative Programs on behalf of LVTC, and presided over the seminar on China-ASEAN Successful TVET Cooperative Programs (the second group). At the forum, the research report on the development of the China-ASEAN Double Hundred Vocational School Strong Cooperation Flagship Program and the compilation of the achievements of the fourth and fifth batches of China-ASEAN Successful TVET Cooperative Programs were released.

As one of the important activities of the China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Forum and Exhibition of Successful Cooperative Programs is sponsored by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) and the China-ASEAN Centre. The China-ASEAN Successful TVET Cooperative Programs are part of the China-ASEAN Double Hundred Vocational School Strong Cooperation Flagship Program ((hereinafter referred to as the "Double Hundred Program"), with the aim to promote the building of the China-ASEAN vocational education community. To implement the guiding principle of the Education Action Plan for the Belt and Road Initiative, the Double Hundred Program has been implemented by CEAIE since 2018 under the support and guidance of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. Up to now, 100 pairs of cooperative programs in 5 batches have been successfully launched under the Double Hundred Program.

In order to support the global development of LiuGong, LVTC has worked with LiuGong since the implementation of LiuGong's strategy of going global in 2017, and built the LiuGong-LVTC Global Customer Experience Center headquartered in Guantang Campus of LVTC, as well as 4 branch centers in different cities in China and 8 branch centers in different countries and regions around the world, forming a global LiuGong training network to provide training for nearly 2,000 people on an annual basis. With the continuous development of LiuGong's global business, LVTC and LiuGong have concluded a new contract on cooperation in overseas education program. Thailand is the first stop for LVTC and LiuGong to go global.

In December 2021, LVTC, LiuGong and PIM signed the memorandum of cooperation to jointly build the LiuGong-LVTC Global Customer Experience Center in Thailand and the Liugong–LVTC International Craftsman College of Thailand at PIM, and launched the China-Thailand Joint Training Program of Construction Machinery. During the implementation of the program, LiuGong was responsible for the input of equipment and the provision of internship jobs, PIM for the provision of venues, teaching facilities and equipment, and LVTC for the output of standards and the training certification of teachers and students. The three parties overcame the difficulties brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring the smooth implementation of the program as planned. In March 2022, LVTC and LiuGong sent three teachers and trainers to Thailand to carry out training certification for PIM teachers. Nine standards and five textbooks in both English and Thai jointly developed by LVTC and LiuGong were also officially put into use in PIM. On June 8, the LiuGong-LVTC Global Customer Experience Center in Thailand was completed and put into operation to provide training for the service personnel of LiuGong's dealers from Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar. At present, the recruitment of students for the order-orientated class in Thailand is in full swing, and the class will be started in September as scheduled.

The China-Thailand Joint Training Program of Construction Machinery is an important measure of LVTC to respond to the national call for opening the education sector to the world. With the deep school-enterprise integration and complementary advantages during the program, LVTC has secured LVTC-specific achievements on behalf of vocational colleges with regard to how to go global with Chinese enterprises.

The China-Thailand Joint Training Program of Construction Machinery has been included in the list of the China-ASEAN Successful TVET Cooperative Programs, marking another breakthrough of LVTC in international exchanges and cooperation. It will further facilitate LVTC to build the National Double High-level Plan, give full play to the professional brand advantages, and improve the level of international education. At present, based on the exploration of the cooperation model of the China-Thailand Joint Training Program of Construction Machinery, LVTC has successfully replicated the cooperation model in Indonesia. On August 10, 2022, LVTC, LiuGong and Jakarta State Polytechnic in Indonesia successfully concluded a contract to start the construction of the LiuGong-LVTC Global Customer Experience Center in Indonesia and the LiuGong-LVTC International Craftsman College of Indonesia. In addition, LVTC is also making active efforts to extend the program to such countries as Zimbabwe, Uzbekistan and Russia.
